Our approach
Here's what years of product development taught us about process.
Good products don't exist in isolation. They exist within systems—supply chains, material flows, manufacturing realities, the hands that assemble them, the people who use them, and what happens when they reach the end of that life.
Circularity isn't a feature you add at the end. It's a question you ask at the beginning.
We've worked with furniture and lighting brands—from ambitious startups to established names—taking products from first brief to permanent museum collection. This is the process behind that work.
1 – Research
Map the full picture, not just the brief
A brief is a starting point, not an answer. The real work begins by understanding the wider landscape—market context, user behaviour, existing portfolio, and the manufacturing realities the product will need to live within. That context shapes everything that follows.
2 – Define
Build the framework together
Research becomes a shared roadmap. Parameters defined in close collaboration with engineering and production teams — sustainability, feasibility, lifecycle, tooling. Not constraints added later. Foundations laid early, because good systems are designed from the ground up, not patched from the top down.
3 – Develop
Design for the world the product will enter
First ideas visualised, materials explored, prototypes built and tested—always in dialogue with the brand world, production realities, and the people the product is made for. Working through the questions together, not in isolation.
4 – Calibrate
Test until the whole thing holds
Real conditions. Iterative rounds. The work doesn't stop until the design holds up technically, aesthetically, and within the context of the brand and market it's entering.
5 – Execute
Bring the right network in
A good product needs the right moment and the right voice. The launch is supported by opening the network—media, press, communications, design fair presence—connecting the product to the audiences and spaces it belongs in. Our network is open to every project we take on.
The launch opens the conversation, it doesn't close it. The brands we work with longest keep us involved—through the first customer responses, the next iteration, the product family that grows from what was learned. That's where a process becomes a partnership.
“The best results always come when everyone is in it together from day one.
This process was built over years of real projects, real factory floors, and real conversations with the brands we've worked alongside. If it resonates, I'd love to talk”
